Dewey Business Partnership takes pride in Dewey Beach. We take pride in all that we do for Dewey Beach. From arts festival, kids beach party, New Years dunk, treasurefest, Easter egg hunt, trash pick up, to this weekend’s end of season party. Saturday, we hope most of you that are in town will join us for something we work very hard to produce, the End of Season Beach Party for the property owners and their guests! We have ordered a near PERFECT weather forecast for the weekend.
That’s right! This Saturday from 5:30pm-9pm on the beach at Dagsworthy street, we invite all to join together as one and enjoy the beautiful award-winning beach here in Dewey. The election season will be over, the signs can come down, eblasts can stop, it will be time to bond together and bury the hatchet (or beach shovel in this case). We will roll out a huge stage to feature the fun motown and dance sounds of The Doug Segree Band. They hit the stage at 5:45pm. Several local restaurants will have food for sale on the beach, and beer/wine/water/sodas are available at a center area bar. The bar sales are used to help cover a portion of the band, stage, & lighting, however more than half of the costs for this event are donated from the local business community.
Bring your beach chair, we will have a few tables and chairs provided, but you are encouraged to bring a chair if you wish to sit and enjoy the music. A bonfire will also be lit at dusk. If you have kids, please bring them and their marshmallows! The Town of Dewey will supply bathrooms via the Lifesaving station and the town manager has offered to contribute towards this event continuing the good working relationship this town has developed with its business community.
