05 Sep End of Season Beach Party 2017
The end of the season is here, and it’s always a little bittersweet in Dewey Beach. While it’s nice to have the beach back, and to be able to navigate Route 1 without extra planning, it also means that the cold weather will soon return and this summer will be a memory. But as they say, “it ain’t over till it’s over,” and it’s not over until The Dewey Business Partnership throws their end of season beach party!
The meters will be down and the party will be cranking up, so on September 16th from 6-9PM, come out to the Dasgworthy Street beach where you can enjoy live music on the sand, drinks and local fare its all your friends. A $5 donation gets you into the party, and if you’re feeling generous, you can nab a VIP table for $125 (seats 10).
The Dewey Business Partnership loves kids, and there will be activities for children, including Cascading Carlos with his amazing interactive juggling show. If your kids have never seen Carlos, they are in for a real treat. He’s enthralling, funny, and full of tricks!
In addition to the children’s entertainment, Joe Bachman and The Tailgaters will be on hand to dole out the tunes. Come and grab some grub from Dewey Beach’s best restaurants. There is no better way to say goodbye to the summer season than with your feet in the sand, surrounded by locals.
Steve “Monty” Montgomery, owner of The Starboard Restaurant, loves town-centric events. He says, “I love seeing the people of Dewey Beach turn out, and this is an end of season event that really puts all the best of Dewey on display: our beaches, our restaurants, our party vibe, and our locals. Life is all about having a good time, and this is one of the ways that we can celebrate that.”
Join Montgomery, and The Dewey Business Partnership as they say “thanks
for a terrific summer” Saturday, September 16th from 6-9PM at the Dagsworthy Street beach in Dewey. Parking is free. For more information visit the Dewey Business Partnership page on Facebook.
