DEWEY BEACH ARTS & FUN FESTIVAL MAY 13TH

The 2023 Dewey Arts and Fun Festival is coming to Dewey Beach on Saturday, May 13th, and The Dewey Business Partnership is excited to announce a new location for the event, as well as lots of art focused fun for the whole family! The annual event has moved a few blocks south of their traditional location to Dickinson Street and the bay, which boasts many advantages for both the community and the artists who will be setting up that day. The new location is also surrounded by several restaurants including the Lighthouse, Baywalk, and Nail.

Kelly Ranieri, Executive Director of the Dewey Business Partnership, says, “This new location is going to be wonderful. We have the benefit of the Rudder parking lot for set up, as well as lots of bathrooms, and an ATM on site, as well as the circle adjacent to the bay for the chalk art competition. It’s going to be a festive location!”

The day begins at 9AM, and goes until 3:30PM with FREE event parking, and lots of amazing activities and artists on hand! There will be an astounding 50 vendors present as well as live music by Mark Luckenbill, food and refreshments, a cocktail garden, a student art gallery, children’s activities, and even dog adoptions! This is the perfect place to find a Mother’s Day gift for mom, or to find original (local) artwork for yourself!

There will also be a chalk art competition at the circle on Dickinson Street, for those ages 5 and up! Awards (including cash prizes) will be given in several categories, and entry fees do apply for those looking to create on the street live during the festival. This is a live art competition that will be fun for the whole family, and the judging and awards are happening same day! Artists can sign up through Event Brite for the competition: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/dewey-arts-and-fun-fest-street-chalk-competition-tickets-618597270087

Come out and enjoy an artsy day in Dewey Beach for the entire family. This is a wonderful day of family fun and a celebration of art in our communities as well as a great way to kick off the summer season in your favorite beach town! The event is free, and so is the parking. There is no rain date for this event. For more information, please visit https://deweybusinesspartnership.com
